Story

Hideko Fukushima works with Kurotani Washi paper — a material with over 800 years of history, originating in Kyoto Prefecture.

Using chemical dyes, she draws out colors of extraordinary depth and vibrancy — transforming ancient paper into contemporary art that carries the weight of tradition and
the freshness of now.

Each piece is entirely handmade. No two are ever the same.
